VRE Santa Train

Every year just before Christmas, families are given the opportunity to ride a special VRE train to meet Santa and friends. Santa’s helpers will be promoting rail safety, as well as handing out candy canes and coloring books.

Ticket Sales

When: Tickets will go on sale Monday, November 25th at 9am. Note – Please read this message before tickets go on sale.

Where: Half of the tickets will be sold at ticket outlets and the other half will be sold online. In-person vendors (ticket outlets) will only sell tickets for their area’s corresponding excursion train station. We do not carry ticket inventory at our VRE offices. Tickets can only be purchased through vendors or online.

Cost: Tickets are $5.00 at the outlets, and $6 online. Payment at the ticket outlets may be made with cash or check. Online purchases can be made with credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover) or with a pre-existing PayPal account.  

Tickets sell out incredibly fast. No one is guaranteed a ticket. Tickets sold in-person and online are sold first-come, first-served. If you are planning to purchase online, we recommend creating an account prior to the morning the tickets go on sale. Tickets are not subtracted from inventory until the payment process is complete. You must successfully complete the checkout process for tickets to be mailed to you. Upon completion, a successful checkout will result in an onscreen confirmation message and a confirmation e-mail. If you are not able to complete the checkout process on your first attempt and would like to purchase tickets for an alternate train, please remember to remove the tickets for the original train from your cart before proceeding to checkout. If you are unable to obtain tickets from our online sale, please visit your local vendor.
