Design the Next DC Bike Map
Calling all District residents! We want to showcase your art on the 2026 DC Bike Map cover! Whether it’s a drawing, painting, digital art piece, photograph, or another form of art, we encourage you to let your creativity shine. This map will be distributed to thousands of people across the DMV digitally and in person at outreach events, bike shops, bike clubs, and more.
Deadline: January 2, 2026
The winner will be notified in mid-January
Perks & Prizes:
- The winner will have their art showcased as the cover of the 2026 DC Bike Map.
- The winner will also receive a $100 VISA gift card.
- Even if not chosen as the winner, all appropriate submissions will be highlighted on goDCgo’s social media.
Design Guidelines & Requirements:
Please make sure your submission follows the guidelines below.
- You must be a resident of the District of Columbia to submit a cover design.
- Each District resident may submit up to two (2) designs.
- We encourage you to be inclusive of all people in your designs, representing the District’s diverse community.
- Images depicting people must be up to cycling safety standards and follow the rules of the road. Make sure all cyclists are wearing helmets!
- Do not use any offensive language, imagery, or themes in your design.
- High-resolution PDF, PNG, JPEG, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop files will be accepted.
- Covers designed via non-digital mediums (drawings, paintings, etc.) must be scanned.
- File size must be approximately 300 dpi.
- Design dimensions must be approximately 4.5 x 9.5 inches, or will be cropped to fit this size.

- A short statement (1-5 sentences about your piece)
- Your social media handles – if you’d like us to tag you on social media
- You design attached or linked in the email
By emailing us your submission, you’re agreeing to allow goDCgo and the District Department of Transportation to use your submitted art for the cover of the 2026 DC Bike Map.
