DESCRIPTION:Join the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) and other local organizations in cleaning up the Anacostia River and its tributaries in honor of Earth Day. Sponsored by CSX\, the clean-up will occur on Saturday\, April 21st from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at over 30 sites throughout the Anacostia Watershed in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties in Maryland and in Washington\, DC\, including the Earth Conservation Corps pump house.

Afterwards\, please join in the celebration following the clean-up from 12:00 pm to 2:00 in the RFK parking lot #6 near the bridge that takes you to Kingman and Heritage Islands.  The celebration\, part of The Nature Conservancy's Picnic for the Planet\, will feature a free picnic lunch\, notable speakers and live music by local reggae band Proverbs.
